Over the past few months, it has been a hot topic among the admin team on where to go with the future of the species. Whilst the website has many benefits and fun ways for our community to engage with the species, it has not overall served the purpose we expected or wanted it to. Between the 3 members of the main team, there were a lot of issues with the website which include but were not limited to; cost of upkeep, time and resource demand. This combined with our inability to code made the website updates very sporadic but also time consuming. Too much time spent on running and creating assets for the website, mean that we have less time to put into other aspects of the species such as lore etc. Overall, Shawling's were designed to be a very community heavy species and encourage socialisation between members and their Shawling's through roleplay and artwork. We believe that the website may have hindered this but encouraging a "single player" mindset and diverting attention away from the community side of the species, which is what we wanted to bring focus to. We have heard members requests for compensation for time invested into the website but have unfortunately found that there is nothing we can offer in regards to compensation. There is no way to transfer items from the website to an external inventory system and thus, all inventory items will be lost. All items which are valued with real currency (paid MYOs, paid adoptables etc) will still be honored and retain their value. Any questions about this can be directed to @☆Artemis (DM's are open!)
